Path of the Oil and the Mountains,
Between the lush beauty of the mountains that crown the Axarquia, the villages of Viñuela, Alcaucín, Periana, Alfarnate, Alfarnatejo, Riogordo and Apiary, make up a path of strong personality.
The olive trees of the variety verdial produce one of the best oils in the world.
They are also famous for peaches of Periana.
The internal tourism is in this area, the main protagonist. Natural landscapes, sports, trails, picturesque, rural accommodation, small towns, and native cuisine.
Path of the Sun and of the Avocado:
The coastal zone, the beach, the sun and the fertile fields in the interior are the protagonist of this route.
Built by the municipality of Rincón de la Victoria, Macharaviaya, Vélez-Málaga, Benamocarra, Iznate, Benamargosa and Torre del Mar, is the path next to the capital of Malaga. The town of Rincón de la Victoria, is home to one of the most famous prehistoric caves of the province of Malaga: the cave of the Treasure or of Higuerón.
For its part, Macharaviaya, Benamocarra, Iznate and Benamargosa are surrounded by plantations and tropical fruits that give the name to this path.
Mudejar route:
To the inside of the peoples of Arenas, Árchez, Salares, Sedella and Canillas de Aceituno, transport us to a historical past full of architectural treasures, such as the minarets and other monuments.
Peoples of authentic path of mudejar, next to the Castle of Bentomiz, leave on those who visit the feeling of having crossed the frontier of the time.
Route of the Pass:
The municipalities of Moclinejo, Almáchar, El Borge, Cútar, Comares and Totalán integrate this route in which, the special climatic conditions, allow to bloom fields of vineyards, whose fruits (muscat grapes) are converted into raisins on achievements that dot its hills. Ancestral craftsmanship whose master is the sun.
Route of Sun and Wine:
By the coast and up to the border with the province of Granada, are the municipalities of Algarrobo, Sayalonga, Gómpeta, Canillas de Albaida, Torrox, Nerja and Frigiliana. Next to a beautiful coastline with sandy beaches dotted with cliffs and coves, there are the hills full of vineyards, farmhouses and houses of work, which produces a sweet wine, famous since the roman domination, and a cane syrup that is only made in Frigiliana.
In Nerja, tourism hub, deserve a special mention are the famous caves and Cathedral of the Paleolithic, which offer a unique spectacle.
